  I am totally sold on Photoshop (the full version, not Elements). Photoshop is not easy to learn but you acheive great power once you figure it out.

I like having full control over my work; using masks and layers Photoshop gives me the ability to adjust, edit, enhance just what I want without affecting the entire image.

  I also have Photoshop, but began early on with Elements, which does a fantastic job too. Be sure to get a good book on the version of software you get. And, go to Youtube and then search for "how to" videos using the software you chose.
