Editing Software to Replace Picnik I use Picnik to add textures and do some extras to photos. Picnik is closing as of April 19th. Does anyone know if they will use a different name or be absorbed by some other company. Also, if anyone is familiar with Picnik, is there another program that is similar? I like the stickers and the textures. Thanks for any suggestions.

Hi Harriet, I have not used Picnik (but now I am curious about it) but I do like using Topaz Adjust4 for special enhancements. NIK Filters are also very nice but a bit more $$. Go to Deb Sandidge's site under "Gear" as she has discount codes listed for many tools/software including Topaz :) http://deborahsandidge.com/ I will research Piknik and see what I find for their future availability. I dont know if you do HDR but I love HDRSoft.com - PhotoMatix software as well. Cheers, Carlton

Don't give up totally on Picnik - basically it's moving over to be part of Google+ (although the jury's still out on how many of the editing features will remain and how easy it will be to use on Google+). One alternative I've seen recommended is GIMP (Google to find it; it's a free download), although it's also said there's a fairly steep learning curve.

Hi Harriet, You have some amazing images in your collection and I enjoy looking at your images. Very artistic & colorful with great composition and editing. I would recommend spending the $100 for Photoshop Elements as this will do most everything you can do in the higher priced CS versions and you can use lots of plugins & filters. my .02, I am going back to look through more of your gallery :) Carlton
