Photography Question

My Post Was Censored!

Believe it or not, a reply I wrote to the Organizing Images post was censored. Not only did I offend someone by putting in paragraph breaks, but I also (o horrors) casually used the name of another photography site when listing file names. I did not give a link to it, and wasn't recommending it to anyone.

I find it ironic and annoying that BP censors posts this way, particularly when they bug us with ads for photo contests that aren't even theirs.

It'll be interesting to see how long this very post remains on the forum ...

  Hi Kay,
I have had my posts edited as well. I keep in mind that some links/sites are in competition with BP or their affiliates so I try to minimize using them as references. I dont think they are vindictive about it, just protecting their interests.
I can usually reference B&H, MPIX, Amazon, Adobe, Corel Painter, Topaz, Nik and other editing software with no problems.
Cheers,
Carlton

I've had stuff censored or just plain removed for years, never with an explanation. Just gotta suck it up and go on.

Thanks guys -- my life isn't ruined or anything, but I find BP's behaviour petty. And particularly since the offending site lists BP in their links section.
