what monitor do you have What do some of you have for monitors, and how do you like them. I am thinking of buying a new one and need input. Italked to someone who said the new IPS monitors are the best for digital photography. Thanks for the help. Tom Fleeman

I have the NEC model with its own calibration device that sells for about $600. I like it. The people at shutterbug advise to calibrate with the luminance set to about 90, to avoid too dark prints. It is an IPS monitor. Dell has at least one, and LG reportedly has two that are suitable for photographic work.

Hi Tom, I have used NEC (CRT) & Dell (flatscreen) in the past and they were both OK but if you are looking for a bit better quality, the Eizo's & Apple Cinema Screens are excellent. I switched to a 24" iMac 3 years ago and absolutely love working on this machine. my .02, Carlton

Varanus niloticus. Never had any complaints. Have to keep it fed properly, because they're smart enough to learn how to open the refrigerator.
