ONLINE COURSES Im new to photography and I would like to take a course but there are so many which course would be best for a beginner? Would also like to know if the online courses are worth the time and money? Would appreciate some feed back already submitted question once no responses (would like to take advantage of the coupon that expires tomorrow if there is a class that will be helpful to me).

Michelle, I am not sure if you have checked this link. http://www.betterphoto.com/photography-classes-by-skill.php?ai=1&view=all It provides a variety of Beginner Level courses here at BP. I personally have not attended a course here at BP yet, but have read in many discussions that the quality of courses here are worth more than their fee. I am sure more people will chime in soon with their experiences. UB.

Hi Michelle, I know you asked your question back in February and it's now October. I purchased my very first D-SLR (a Canon 7d with a f/2.8 24-70mmL IS UM and f/4.5-5.6 100-400L IS USM lens) this past July. I found out about Better Photo from someone I know who's a fabulous photographer that lives in a different city from me. I originally asked her for information on photography and little did I know she knew about this forum. Word of mouth is key so with her recommendation I signed with Better Photo back in August for my first class "Understanding Digital Photography" with Neil and Susan Silverman. I have one more week of the class left and am thrilled by how much information I have learned in just 8 short weeks!! Reading the manual to my camera just didn't cut it. These classes are designed to practice using all modes, dials, settings and everything in between. I'm really looking forward to taking the next class. Originally, I came online to ask my own question as to what class I should take next as I am still a newbie. I started reading the other Q&As and came across your question. I hope my input has helped you. Now, if I can just find out which class to take next...
