Photography Question

Flat photos

I am wondering why pictures look great on a laptop but look flat in print. All other pictures up until now looked great but I'm not sure if it's my error due to compensating for the venue I had to shoot in (very red carpet through out and two different lighting systems in the church). I was having to adjust with almost every shot. I had to shoot and save in JPEG because I did not have a program yet to edit in RAW. (I do now-PS5). My images are all too large for uploading. I would love to have you take a look.

Thank you Greg. I just got it (PS5) and am still learning. Here are a couple of images that I'm wondering about.
