Manual settings

Hi!

I have browsed both this site and the internet and was wondering if anyone has a good resource online for shooting in manual mode?

  Hi Jennifer,
Learning exposure is to learn to shoot manually.
I highly recommend taking an Exposure class. I know Jim Zuckerman teaches one here - http://www.betterphoto.com/courseOverview-c.php?cspID=116

Jim also has a book for Digital Exposure and another good one is Bryan Petersons "Understanding Exposure". Bryans book is how I learned about Better Photo :)
Being able to read the light, using your meter and understanding the histogram are the basic fundamentals of photography. Once you learn this, you can then start being more artistic by controlling your DOF, shooting into the sun, etc.. but it all starts with proper exposure.
I have both Jims & Bryans books and they are essential books for exposure. I haven't taken Jims Exposure class but have taken several others with him and he is fantastic and will get you up to speed quickly and the mystery of exposure will be solved :)
Blessings,
Carlton
