How to get good quality digital pics? Even at the highest resolution possible in my camera (Sony DSC-P20 1.3MP) I still get blurry images, for example when trying to take a portrait shot.

Are you using a tripod? There are just some things that are true in photography whether you are using digital or film. If you want sharp pictures then use a tripod.
