Photoshop Elements 6 for Mac

Ok, so since I already have Apple's Aperture for my cataloguing, I'm leaning towards getting Elements 6 for Mac for my editing software. I've been reading customer reviews on-line and see quite a mix of problems and satisfied people. I was wondering how many of you use Elements 6 for Mac and if you are happy with it or not?

  Hello Jeff,
I have been a photoshop user since about 2001 when I 1st started shooting digital. I have used Elements in the past and it has many of the great features & tools that Photoshop uses but at a much lower cost than PS. Richard Lynch teaches an Elements class here at Better Photo you may want to check out.
There is also Adobe Lightroom that can process images including raw formats and is also good for organizing but it too is more expensive than Elements.
You may consider taking a class and see just how far you can go with Elements and you can always upgrade to PS if you ever decide you need it. For most of my work, Elements has all the tools I need, I just haven't used it as much since I always had Photoshop. I am also a MAC user and all the Adobe products run great on MACs. Adobe has released Elements 7 and for less than $100 - you get a lot of power for little $$.
Maybe some Element users will chime in here. Hope this helps,
Carlton
