HELP! The silver paint on my Canon is fading! How do you repaint a Canon EOS 500 N, where part of it's paint, which is silver, has faded off? Can you even paint it off or do you actually need to send it off to Canon itself? I don't have a hard case and I've been storing my camera in a plastic bag wrapped in a cloth for the past three years and the external part of the camera's body looks slightly kinda busted up, the paint of course. I mean, it's just plastic with a silver coated painted on it.

Why would you want to paint it? The more beat up it looks the cooler it is. Slap some duct tape on there and it will look even better. If you have to paint it find some green army camo paint. ;-)))
