Extension Tubes

I am considering the purchase of an extension tube for my Canon 450D. What are the focusing ranges of the Canon EF 12 II and the EF 25 II tubes with the 18-55 IS lens and the 55-250 IS lens? The piggy bank will only support one purchase and would like to know what to expect. Thanks for any help you'all may provide....

I'd go, with my cam and a quarter as a model, to a store that carries them and test it IRL, Hank.

Have fun!

You might consider the Kenko tubes...many people have them.

Yes Ken - I'm very pleased with my Keno extensions. It takes a bit to get used to the focus with them but for the price they do a nice job.

Thanks to all for their inputs. After searching the net, found a Kenko link that describes all you may want to know about their teleconverters and extenders. Hope the following helps....
