Hi Jay,

in CS3/Photoshop – under File > Automate – you will find "Merge to HDR..." and "Photomerge...".

Of course you need suitable exposures to be able to merge in the first place.

Have fun!

  Hello Jay,
If you are talking about merging HDR images (as W referred to) I would recommend a program by HDRSoft called PhotoMatix. The tonemapping tool gives you lots of control over the image. see www.HDRSoft.com

If you are talking about blending 2 different photos together or cutting/pasting a part of an image into another one, you will need to use layers in Photoshop. The opacity slider works very well to blend the images but you will need to pay attention to the lighting of both images. As W aluded to about suitable exposures - If you add an image that has direct lighting into another image with sidelighting, it will look very strange.
Please verify what you are wanting to do so we may be more specific with our answers.
Carlton

Say, Jay, what operating system do you use? Windows? Mac? Linux?
And what photo editing software have you got?
