how to upload raw images to vista Ok. So I am starting to explore RAW, and can't figure out how to get the files on my darn computer (new HP with Vista). I shot with my new Rebel XSI in first the mode that saves the image as a JPG and a RAW. When that didn't work, I only shot in RAW, but the pix are still only showing as a JPEG on my computer. I am using the Digital Photo Professional software that came with the camera to upload. What am I doing wrong!? Thank you!

Probably a setting or preference in DPP that ain't right, Natalie. So check those and/or the DPP manual. If you can't get it to work with DPP you could try another photo editor. Like Picasa (FREE; http://picasa.google.com/). Have fun!

Hi Natalie; I also have the rebel XSI and I use the ZoomBrower EX software that came with the camera to view and adjust RAW files. It's easy to use, has the same settings as the camera. Hope this helps Cindy
