How to pose mother and son? I'm doing a photo session of a mother and son & need some ideas on posing them. Son is about 12 and mother is 31 maybe. Help don't want the same old boring stuff i'm looking for something more creative to showcase there closeness.

You know the poses/situations Annie Leibowitz used for Riley and Billy Ray Cyrus? Don't do that. ;-) Keep the boy's (and mom's) shirts on, and don't have them lounging on each other. IMHO, YMMV.

P.S. The closeness will be expressed in their faces, especially the eyes. You don't necessarily need the two to be in physical contact.

Maybe over the knee giving him a spanking...since its illegal to spank a 13 year old I've heard. You could always google best family portraits/photographers and you'll find a bunch...copy their ideas. You gotta be able to think of some cool ideas...thats one of the reasons people pay so much for great photographers.
