probel with Nikon D200 and SanDisk CF extreme 3 8G

I have Nikon D200 and SanDisk CF extreme 3 8G. When I try to format the CF in the camera, it's seems like doing format, but after I get "DONE" notice, the peactures still appear on the CF card. Is it the CF problem?? Any help would be appreciated.

Per the Nikon USA site, the only "approved" Sandisk Extreme III cards that are listed are the 1, 2, and 4 GB.
LINK. You might make a call to customer service at Nikon and Sandisk to check.

I called to Nikon support servise - they sad that D200 should work with 8G CF.
I have 4 CF (extreme III 8 G). One of them I can format with Nikon D200 and 3 I can format only with card reader.
Moreover there is no problems with writing, deleting picture. the problem is only with formating.

Puzzling that one would work fine and not the other 3. I would verify that they are not counterfeit (LINK). Otherwise, Sandisk has a very good lifetime warranty/return policy. You should take them up on it.
