Exposure

If I shot 400 ISO at 6400 ISO would this cause the film to be over exposed? I recently shot 13 rolls of Fuji Superia 400 ISO and 2 rolls of Velvia 50 ISO and during the course of shooting noticed that my ISO was at 6400! Too late though, I was on my last roll. I have a Nikon N8008. All exposures show over exposure except for the Velvia which show no image at all.
I've uploaded an image for view and comment. Thanks for all inputs.

Just the opposite. Your film will be severely underexposed. The camera thought you had faster film than you did so it held back exposure. Doesn't your camera automatically read the DX coding on the film?

  Hi Jeff,
Thanks for your response. Yes, my camera does read the DX coding. I must have reset it manually. I wasted 15 rolls of film before I noticed the error. (expensive learning experience)My trip to Europe last week down the drain. My camera is a Nikon N8008.
This is the first time I've made such an error. Never will happen again.
