Pregnancy Photo Advice

I have good friends who are 9 months pregnant and the husband lost his job recently and they now can not pay for the pregnancy photos they had scheduled. I offered to take some since I like to take photos and started my first class with betterphoto recently. I was wondering if you had any hints for me with taking pregnancy photos.

Thank you in advance for any advice you can offer.

  Hi Cori,
There is a technique with a single light with barndoors that provide a thin light that just skims the body and is very artistic & beautiful. You may even be able to put a slotted panel in front of the light if you dont have barn doors or a snoot. You have to spend some time positioning the light & model and angle so that it just catches a part of the belly, breasts, legs and face. Or just the belly & face or laying on her side.
Its almost a silhouette and looks best as B&W.
Lots of possibilities. E-mail me and I will send you a couple of examples.
Carlton

Need a huge softbox? Position her against a large window. YOU command the F/stops!
