Olympus E-3 vs. Nikon 300 I am trying to decide whether to buy an Olympus E-3 since I have 3 lenses worth about $2200, or switch over to the Nikon 300. (I wasn't too happy with the Olympus E-1) I would have to buy a flash, lenses, battery pack etc...There's that stigma that Olympus isn't a "photographers" camera...I dabble in portrait photography too...

Hi Jan, I use Nikon and I would still first say, don't worry about what other people think if you are happy with your camera. Now, having said that - I own a D300 and sold my D2X to get it. It outperforms the D2x in every way and is worth every cent and more. I would be happy to answer any questions you might have but the short answer is that if you want a pro camera build and performance without paying a pro camera price, the D300 can't be beat right now.
