Photography Question

Pamela A. Davis

Shooting babies/small children

I did a shoot yesterday with a 2 month, 7 month, 2 Y.O. and 7 year old. I had hoped the 6 year old could have held the small ones but it did not work out. Any suggestions on props to use with infants and small children would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Pam

  Pamela,
There are a few items that would help greatly in this situation!
A toughy though it may seem.
ok # 1: a wicker launry basket:
the 2 yo in Middle both babies on sides and the 7yo in back on knees, with hands placed on either side.

# 2 Cradles: though they make for a wide sceen. can usually be found for dolls at Toys R US.

# 3 a Large bean bag chair:
These work great for posing 1 or more infants.

#4 a Bath tub:
The metel out door type is great, same pose as basket, but no tops, add bubble wrap for bubble look, have 7 yo hold a old fasion bath brush.
(small example in my gallery)
