Better Photo Member Favorite Hello, I am new and have been browsing this site the past two days...I absolutely love it and am addicted to looking at all the gorgeous photos! I've been adding some photos to my favorite list and notice it's comming up as "Better photo member favorite" can someone explain this to me? If just one person adds your photo to their favorites does it get this title. just wondering. And any other tips on browsing through this website? Thanks so much! Tracy

I think you're right, if somebody picks it as a favorite, it has the caption on it. You will love this site, it's a great place!

I wonder if there has to be more than one person adding the photo as a favorite. Just two of the ones I've selected has got the caption with the heart, when I look at their galleries. I'm fairly new to this website also, and it's a lot of fun. Eivor

When one person clicks the photo as a favorite, the caption should appear. In parenthesis, to the right of the caption, is a little number that tells you how many people have selected it. I'm pretty sure that's how it works.

Hmmm, I wonder why it doesn't work with my favorites. I have seven, and it shows just on two of them. Now I see the numbers. One has three, the other one, so it shouldn't matter how many that have chosen the image as a favorite.

It's my understanding that if you click on the photo from your gallery, you can't tell. But if you click on Favorites, then click on your Gallery, you can see them...but you have to call up each individual photo. It's not intuitive on how to view them...just remember to click Favorites first, then click your gallery.

Sorry, I don't get it to work for those five I'm talking about. I do the same thing for all of them, but only two of them have the capture, from my point of view. It's not a big deal, but I hope the photographers can see if they get a favorite. Thanks for taking your time to try and help me!

Ken, I just added your picture of Dallas Divide to my favorites. Can you see a caption above it in your gallery? I have the picture under my favorites, but don't see the caption when I go to your gallery from there. What a stunning image! Well, your gallery is filled with wonderful pictures.

I agree, Eivor, Ken has a BEAUTIFUL gallery! But I'm not seeing the "favorite" caption on that picture either. The mystery unfolds...

Evior and Melinda...thanks for the nice words on my gallery! Evior, I can only see the "favorite" caption AFTER I click favorites then click gallery. If I go straight to my gallery when I log in, and click the image, then I can't see it. If you access the Contest finalist/winners pages; e.g., (http://www.betterphoto.com/gallery/dynoGall2.php?catID=20957), then click on a thumbnail, you'll have access to the "Favorites" information. Of course, this seems like a round-about way to see if your photo, or someone else's photo, is a favorite. BP should modify their code to show the Favorite info directly off of Gallery photos...in my opinion.

I found myself with "favorites" today for the first time quite by accident and I can't for the life of me make it happen again, not even by Ken's method above... I had always assumed I had none, but boy did the anonymous favoriters of my pics make this girl's day!!!!! I also wish BP would change the code so it's not so random - I like this feature better than the EPs. : ) Welcome Eivor!

It's easy, just login to your Member Center, Click FAVORITES, then Click VIEW GALLERY. That will bring your gallery up in the free (small thumbnail version). Now click on each photo and it will show you at the top if it is a favorite. Or take this link and add your member ID number onto the end of it http://www.betterphoto.com/gallery/free/gallery.php?memberID= Here is your's Melissa

It WOULD be nice if they showed in our premium galleries but.... I discovered that one of my pics has one, too!! so I'm thrilled! Thanks, Ken and Susan, for helping to solve this little mystery.

Eivor, congratulations on your gallery. Your questions and statement that you are fairly new to the website caused me to think you were a newbie. But just one look at your gallery and the number of finalists photos and I new this was far from the case.

Hi, Eivor. You are right. I never looked at the dates of the earlier posts. Just assumed that because the thread seemed to be current that it was new. Anyway, you have made good use of the past 2.5 years. You have an impressive gallery.
