Which photoshop sofeware is best I want to start taking photoshop classes & learn it well; but I can't deceide which photshop software would be the best to install? It seems you can use any of the programs for the classes but whch photoshop is the one to give me all the features you teach & the best for longetivity of use? Complicated doesn't scare me...I want the program to give me the most bank for my buck so to speak. Thanks

Cheryl, there are only 2 Photoshop programs available - Photoshop CS and Photoshop Elements. The former is the big kahuna in the industry - with all the bells and whistles you could ever think of, while Elements is the "junior" version - must less expensive and missing some of the more advanced functions. If budget is no object and you really want to learn everything (warning - this is a career move - there's gobs you can learn) the CS would be the way to go. On the other hand, if you meant to say Photo processing classes, then there are a bunch of other image editing packages out there at all kinds of price points. Corel, PaintShop, and a bunch more.

Hi Cheryl, the current version of Photoshop is CS3. You can get plenty of training videos at lynda.com. Bill
