Jim Miotke's Photo Course: Digital SLR Photogr

I signed up for this class, but am not able to submit assingment photos, does anyone know why? It's telling me that I have to be enrolled in a fully functional class (which I am- not starting till Nov. 7th)
Thanks,

  Hi Amanda,
Thanks for your interest in BetterPhoto's online courses! It sounds like two things - two excellent things :-) - are going on.

First, you've signed up for Jim's Digital SLR Photography class - http://www.betterphoto.com/courseOverview.php?cspID=165. That is a free sample course to show how our virtual classroom works (i.e., lessons, assignments, critiques, discussions, etc.). There is no interaction - again, it's just a free feature that shows a BetterPhoto course at work.

And, secondly, it's great that you have enrolled in a "real" or "fully functional" course! The Campus Squares for the November session of 4-week courses won't be set up until late this coming week. At that time, you will receive some excellent course instructions - and you will have total access to the Campus Square for interacting with classmates and the instructor. Although Campus Square is set up a few days in advance, Lesson 1 (with assignment) will be emailed to you on the first official day of class - November 7th!

Hopefully, I have all this right (i.e., that you have enrolled in both the free course AND in a "real" one) ... and I hope all this makes sense too. Have fun, and let me know if you have any further questions!

Kerry

  Hi Amanda,
You're welcome, and that's it ... the official session of 4-week classes - the one(s) you paid for - begins with the first lesson (including assignment) going out on Nov. 7th. But expect to get the course instructions later this week, so that you can jump into the Campus Square, introduce yourself, etc.

And, on a separate note, you can check out your free course - again, just for looking with no interaction - in order to get a good idea of how the virtual classroom works!

Enjoy yourself, Amanda!
Kerry
