panoramic problems

hi all,
i am having trouble finding the paralux point of my lens. when I shoot parallel with the ground it appears ive found the nodal point. but whenevr I angle the camera up my buildings straight lines become blurred. does this alwaysmean I am not on the correct nodal point, or will the lens correction feature in PS be the solution. you'll notice in the example that the buildings stretch horizontal and at top compress vertically. I am hoping someone has experience with this. thx.

Hi Joseph,

what is a paralux point? I know what a parallAx is, but that applies to cameras with separate viewfinder. Is that what you meant? And what camera/lens(es) have you got?
Oh, and your pic or pix didn't load. So we can't SEE your problem. You may want to try that again.

Joseph, I think you are confusing a couple of issues. Paralax errors refer to a horizontal shift in perspective that is caused by rotating the camera. It is like the shift that occurs when you look at your finger from your right eye and then your left. Finding the nodal point of your lens and rotating around it will minimize paralax. When you point your lens up at a building, you are tilting the focla plane relative to the building and this creates a perspective problem that results in the convergence of the verticle lines. This is not a parallax problem and can not be resolved by finding the nodal point of the lens. There are a couple of solutions. 1) Perspective errors can be corrected in Photoshop. 2) A tilt-shift or perspective control lens lets you tilt the front elements of the lens without tilting the camera. 3) Use a long focal length lens from a distance to minimize any tilting of the camera.

thx for your response guys. I guess its not a PARALAX problem. My buildings ive learned are fishing. I think I can use PS for lens correction or someone has mentioned a program for elimating fishing. iwill try to reload my pic again. let me know if you guys have other suggestions if you can view it. thx again. joe
