If you REALLY want a GREAT wide-angle lens for landscape shots, then look at getting an M42 adapter for your camera and using some of the great Zeiss and Pentax Takumar lenses that are out there selling for a fraction of their true worth. I picked up a SMC Takumar 28/3.5 for $30 and it is sharp as a tack. I use this lens to make multi-row panoramas; a 2x2 matrix taken with my Sigma SD14 gives me the same field of view I'd get with a 35mm lens on my Nikon FE2 35mm SLR. If you're not into the panorama thing, then the Sigma 15-30 EX lens is pretty durn sharp, and used lenses in great shape go for under $300 on eBay.
