Just starting out where to begin ? There are so many courses offered from different instructors. I dont know where to start. What class to start with. Is there a sequence to them? Any suggestions on which courses to take first? I'm not exactly a beginner. I know the basic of the camera but need to know more about the settings and such. Thanks!!

Hi Jennifer, Thanks for your interest in BetterPhoto's online photography courses! Oh, yes, lots of choices ... but I can definitely give you some ideas: - It's hard to go wrong with an exposure course, and here are two good options: Exposure A to Z: The Ins and Outs to Metering or Digital SLR Exposure Techniques - Gain Control of Your Digital SLR System - This class follows the title ... i.e., helping you to gain control of your camera so that you feel comfortable with the controls, settings, etc. Each of these classes runs 4 weeks, with the next session beginning Sept. 5th. The courses are rated at Skill Level 2 - just beyond the beginner stage ... for someone who "knows the value of exposure controls but does not know how to use them, and unable to produce great results consistently." Hello Jennifer, I double up on my courses - taking a "learn to take better pictures" class along with a "photoshop" class. I do this because I believe I need to learn both aspects of composing a photo and the ability to process in photoshop. If you can dedicate enough time to do both classes at the same time, I recommend it. And what Kerry said about reading the course outline has been very helpful to me to choose what I want to learn.
