http://www.fredmiranda.com/reviews/ http://www.photozone.de/8Reviews/index.html Check out the above sites as well. The one thing that is great about the site that David B. mentioned is the ability to 'compare' to lenses. It setup a link to 'compare' your 70-300 IS to a 70-200mm F/4.0 IS L lens. http://www.the-digital-picture.com/Reviews/ISO-12233-Sample-Crops.phpx?FLI=0&API=0&FLIComp=0&APIComp=0&Lens=358&Camera=9&LensComp=404 If you hover your mouse pointer over the little arrow in the middle of the focal length section the arrow will alternate between the 2 crops and you can sse the difference in sharpness. I just recently purchased the 70-200mm lens and the sharpness and image quality are outstanding. For a wide lense I would recommend the 17-40L. I started carrying my Rebel XT again so I could have both of these lenses available instantly as I absolutely love them both. Hope this helps!!!

I also have the Canon 70-200mm F4 lens. It's great. The F2.8 (?) is much more expensive. I also have the L series lens, 24-105mm which I really like. I probably use it for 75% of my shots.

You might want to check out the Canon EF 100mm f2.8 Macro Lens. It is often used as a portrait lens and gives you excellent macro capability as well. Costs less than $500. http://www.the-digital-picture.com/Reviews/Canon-EF-100mm-f-2.8-USM-Macro-Lens-Review.phpx

The new Sigma AO 50-150/2.8 EX is a great lens... compact, extremely sharp, and makes a great companion to your 18-55 lens. The lens will outresolve your camera's image sensor, so any blurry photos won't be the lens' fault.
