Raw shooting

Can/should I download Camera Raw if I have CS2? It is telling me I need CS3. Please advise.

JG, What is telling you you need CS3? CS2? Many common cameras are supported on earlier versions of Photoshop. Can you post the exact wording of the message you are getting?

Per the Adobe site, "Camera Raw 4.0 and greater is not compatible with Photoshop CS2." The latest update compatible with CS2 seems to be 3.7 released 2/18/2007. LINK.

It appears Adobe will no longer update CS2 to accomodate RAW handling for newer cameras. Shame on them. >:(
You'll need to update to a later version of PS, or you can simply use the software that comes with your camera to convert the RAW files to TIFF or JPG for input to CS2.

Have you tried to open your files in CS2 without upgrading Camera RAW, or is your camera not supported by 3.7? If it is supported, you don't need to upgrade.
