Nikon D40x Hi all, I am new here and a true beginner thats for sure. I have a kodiak camera that just wasn't cutting it for me. So my husband bought me a Nikon D40x for my birthday! I was just curious if anyone uses this camera and if it's a good camera to learn off of? Thanks in advance. Dana

Hi Dana, I use Nikon cameras but have not used the D40. From everything I read it should be a great camera to move up from the point and shoots to a real DSLR. You can definitelky learn the relationships between ISO, shutter speed and aperture and the effects of changing each. You may want to consider a basic course on exposure to help you get started. Bill
