Image size v quality

Delight of the photography is the experimentation using ideas, equipment etc! Iím at slight dilemma and need your thoughts!

I wish to share with BP friends the details/ sharpness of outdoors captures (buildings, street life, landscape etc) by wide angle lens like Canon 17-55mm f2.8 which produces different and very pleasing effects! These are fully enjoyed in big print size (say 16x20 inches) but not in the usual BF size i.e. 750x500 where everything appears smaller like in the attached photo!

What do you think is the way forward? Thanks.

doug Nelson   Given the fine glass you shoot through and excellent hand-holding or tripod technique you seem to be using, you may well be doing all you can do.

Work from raw or TIF, do all your edits, and then reduce to jpg. Don't compress any more than about a 10 (on a 12-step scale). Sharpen the jpg(using Unsharp Mask) at about .86/.6/2, maybe even less. I hope you are making exhibition prints of some of your work, because you may be bumping up against the limits jpg and screen view can show.

  Try 480 instead of 500.

You said it appears smaller, but I'm not sure what it is that you're trying to solve because to fit the screen of course it'll be smaller but what was it that meant by smaller?
