Batteries

Hi all

Does anyone think that it is strange that ALL my batteries for my 350XT have all but nearly died at the same time. All AA rechargables, all camera batteries. Even though they were all bought at seperate times?

  Hi Jo

yes, it has been a while since I used them (December) for a large wedding, other than that, I only do portrait shoots and do not need to use 4-5 batteries for that.

Bugger - looks like I have a full set of batteries to purchase!

If you thought that was bad, have you ever added up how many batteries a speedlight can eat up? I swear, the last wedding I did was something around $40 in batteries. I am definitely going to look into those Quantum external power products...

Afaik, ALL rechargeable batteries lose their charge over time. Except 'hybrid' batteries, which keep their charge even if not used, and which deliver constant output until they are – suddenly! – empty!

NiMH batteries, for instance, have lost their charge about a week after recharging.
