Photography Question

Taking a shadow box picture

I made a baby handprint page and put it in a shadow box. When I take a picture of it with my digital camera, I always end up having the reflection of myself in the picture. Any suggestions how to solve this problem?

Try removing it from the shadow box, or removing the glass from the front of the box to take the picture.

product tent with a small hole for the camera lens and a slightly longer exposure time will most likely do the job.

You could try a polarising filter...

Don't see that reflection in your upload, Maggie.

But if there is one, do like Melissa suggested: light tent, with the lens poking through a hole in a big piece of black cardboard.

@ David:
polarising may work in sunny daylight (depending on the angles). Not inside, in artificial light.

Put your camera on self timer and duck ;)

Don't know why you think that, Will... works fine for me (provided, as you suggest, the angles are appropriate)
