Homage to the film boys!

As a mainly (serious) digital shooter (played around with film, but not 'professionally') I really have to say that you serious film guys HAD to know your craft and equipment!!! Having done another wedding, and driven home thinking about the various shots, the angles, the LIGHT and the various permutations, and having the luxury of checking histograms, and a quick look-see to make sure the shot looked correct, I thought about having to change spools every 36 frames, not knowing whether I'd cocked up or not, and then of course the cost..... so I thought I'd make you 'old boys' happy and give you cudo's! :) (And thanks for all the help received!!!) You know who you are.

  "...you serious film guys HAD to know your craft and equipment!!!"
This is true with everything. Knowledge of one's craft and effective use of equipment is prerequisite to success.
I can remember reading once that..."Photography is the only art form in which a machine has to be mastered before the art can emerge."
Perhaps the handfull of hold-outs who cling so tightly to their film cameras do so because they HAVE mastered their machines and enjoy the challenges of managing their time in 36-frame increments.

"...so I thought I'd make you 'old boys' happy and give you cudo's! :)"
Thanks!
While I can't speak for the rest of the "old boys", I'm not ready for the rocking chair on the porch just yet. :)

Bob

W.    35mm film shooters* don't need to go to the fitness gym every week.
(But they've got a standing appointment with their chiropractors...).

* weddings, events, and PJ.

  Yeah, what Bob said !!! I don't do weddings or Bar-Mitzvahs but I sincerely second the thank you, Robyn. Photojournalists, I think do the gym 3 times a week and the chiropractor about once a week. LOL !!! AT least this one has to. ;>)

  Hey John, it's stuff you buy in little yellow or green or black or silver boxes. When you open it up, YOU can use it to wrap food in.
