Photography Question

Does the Nikon D40 support Camera Control Pro?

I assumed it did, after reading a few reviews that mentioned the compatibility. However, I am not able to get the demo/trial to recognize my D40. I do get it to work as a mass storage device, so it is hooked up correctly. It always says no camera is found when the program is started.

Any ideas? After my purchase I noticed Nikon doesn't specifically mention the D40 as supported. I know the older "capture 4" with the control function probably won't ever support the newer cameras.

Thanks for any help.

Per the online Nikon Support Center, there is an Updater ver. 1.1.1 for Camera Control Pro that adds support for the D80, but not for the D40 (yet). There may be a later update, or at least a release date target, that adds support for the D40. Maybe call Nikon Tech Support to see.

In case anyone is wondering, you just need to download version 1.2

Donald, do you have a link for the v. 1.2 download? The Nikon (USA) has updates only through v. 1.1.1.
