soft classical....if you want to ger really creative they sell these songs with children's names on them that are gentle lullabies....you know the child's name, so try to start getting a collection of them. I know I would cry if my son's name came up on a song while I was watching his/her photos....

A few years ago I put together a slide show of shots of the children at my daughter's daycare. We set the slide shot to play along with Return to Pooh's Corner by Kenny Loggins.

Oh, and another one...What a Wonderful World by Louis Armstrong.

A couple of lines of the lyrics are:
I hear babies cryin', I watch them grow
They'll learn much more than I'll ever know

I whole Heartedly agree with Margie and Debbie.
both the ones Margie mentioned are long time favorites of mine.
and maybe some of you can help me, I heard part of a song the other day, I believe its new, maybe a country western artist, but I heard only the tailend and you find shes talking about a small child holding her finger.
It sounded so cute, would love to hear it through.
????
Have a great day,
Debby

I agree with the "Let Them Be Little" but it's by Billy Dean.

Or another great one that I hold dear to my little ones is called "The Best Love We Ever Made" by Aaron Tippin.

That song would go especially well because the whole verse is: "The Best Love We Ever Made kept us up all night; still growing every day...right before our very eyes"...etc etc.

LOL....How was my singing?!?! HAHAHA

For a little girl "Butterfly Kisses" is really sweet. It has been recorded by more than one artist.

Hell's Bells by AC/DC? That's what I hear whenever I see a bunch of small people.....

But seriously, Bette Midler's version of "Baby Mine" is great. It's on the Beaches soundtrack.

Try "Sunrise, Sunset" [Quickly flow the days] from Fiddler on the Roof. Always a tear jerker. But then, as Sipho suggested, nothing wrong with a little AC/DC. Almost certain to bring tears to the eyes.

How about 'Thank God For Kids' by the Oak Ridge Boys? I used this one to make a slideshow of my kids and it turned out quite nice.

My vote for a kid song is for Louis Armstrong's "What a Wonderful World".

For a teenager, find the Joey Ramone version of the song (it's on the Freaky Friday soundtrack).
