Bi-racial Wedding I am shooting a wedding in mid-June. The couple is bi-racial, with the Bride being very pale and the Groom being very dark. I want to be able to expose the Groom so that his facial features are well-defined, without overexposing the pale Bride. I am using the Canon 30D.

I would consider shooting with film due to it's WIDE exposure latitude range. The 30D is like shooting slide film, you might have a hard time with the white dress and dark tux, let alone the pale and dark skin.

Will you be doing an engagement portrait session? That can be a good time to see how well the 30d will handle the contrast.

Good point, yes, I will be doing the engagement portrait. I can check it out then. I just want to get it right.

Use RAW capture. The RAW file will retain a greater dynamic range than the in-camera jpg. You can then post-process the dark and light skinned subjects separately and combine them.

That's a toughie, René! Use off-camera flash (outstretched arm) to maximize texture and minimize blow-out of white/pale. For the formal, posed photos you may want to capture the whole dynamic range with "HDRI", "High Dynamic Range Imaging" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HDRI). Obviously the choice of background will also have considerable influence. The way you describe it both a very light and a very dark background are out.
