Combat Photography

I'm a former Marine with Combat experience and have a degree in Mass Comm with a video/audio backgroud but I desire to become a combat photographer. Does anyone have any suggestions on what direction I should take or class they know how that focus on combat photography? Thanks, Mike Bucannon mbucanno@yahoo.com

Michael, I'm a journalism major, with the same aspiration, and can find very little on the matter. Let me know if you've found anything. Hit me up at grum_@hotmail.com

Try speaking directly with the photo editor(s) at Reuters, A.P. in NY and the New York Times and get their advice on how to "break in" so to speak. Oh and at all times, watch your 6.
Take it light ;>)

This may give you some ideas. check out www.viiphoto.com It's a photo agency created by seven photographers, most of whom are/were conflict phtotographers. Click on Seminars, then Seminar videos. I think you'll be enthralled.
