Computer screen accurately refelcting colours

Does anybody know how to adjust my computer so that the colours etc that I see on my screen are the same as how my printer prints an image?

That's called calibration. You can adjust your moniter based on what you see using a wizard program that ask you to change sttings manually, or you can purchase a hardware device that measures the light and adjusts the moniter accordingly. Then you would set up printer profiles to print correctly.

I use the ColorVision Spyder2Pro device. In just a few minutes Spyder checks my monitor colors and produces a new default profile for my card to use when the computer starts up. For ages I was always changing setting on my printer to more accuratly reflect what my monitor showed. I never realized until I purchased the Spyder just how far off my monitor calibration was. Now I enjoy printing dead on accurate prints with out ever fooling with the print settings!
