How to avoid glare in snapshots


 
 
My boyfriend has a very light complexion, so when we get our photos back or I print them from my digital camera, his face practically glows. Adjusting the contrast fades the other people or objects in the photograph. Is there a way to reduce the glare from his complexion (other than taking him to the tanning salon)? I'm asking this in all seriousness. Take a look at the pictures I've attached and you will see what I mean....
