How much $$$ should I ask for? Hi guys, I've been recently approached to have some of my photos displayed at a temporary photo exhibition to be held on the Corniche in Doha, Qatar (where I am temporarily living) during the Asian Games this December. Until recently photography has been purely a hobby for me but in the last few weeks I've started to join stock image sites, and I've struck a deal with a travel journal website that's about to be launched in which they'll pay me to populate their archives with travel photos. So, I don't have much experience in 'selling' myself or my photography, and I'm not sure how much I should ask for. Truthfully, I'd be delighted just to see my photos in an exhibition for the first time even if I didn't get paid, but the company putting it on is an Asian Games contractor (I believe) and I've been told I should ask for cash - so it seems like the opportunity is there and I'd like to take advantage of that (of course) as I try to build a potential career. I don't know how many photos they want to use at this stage but hopefully I'll find out more this week. Anyway, what do you think would be reasonable compensation for donating photos to an exhibition like this? Bear in mind that Qatar is one of the richest per-capita countries in the world. Thanks,
