Photography Question

How to fix a brittle and cracked old photograph

My mom has an old family photograph that is very brittle and cracking. At the moment, it is being stored between two pieces of glass. Bits of the photograph have flaked or broken off. Is there is a type of glue or something to be able to seal it so it doesn't crack anymore. I can restore the photograph in Photoshop, but the original is what she is interested in saving. Any suggestions?

Check out light impressions at www.lightimpressionsdirect.com

They are an excellent source for archival supplies.

They were....now they're just good at backordering.
Try Archival Methods, you'll get the product w/in a week, instead of 2 months later.
