Photography Question

Tom W. Hauber

Macro photography

I have enjoyed photography for many years, specifically, flower and insect photos. I have had some success, but would like to get very close up shots, and have not been happy with the results. I use a Vivitar 28 mm wide angle lens f2.8, and can focus only a few inches from my subject, but the photo looks like it was a shot from a foot or more away. Is an extension tube the answer?

If close-ups are what you enjoy, invest in a macro lens. They will come with a life-size adapter or tubes. Get them also. Check this site for questions and commentary about macro.
