images look different between CS2 and web gallery?

I'm so confused! When editing an image in CS2, I get it to look just how I like it and then I use CS2's web photo gallery to create a flash gallery - and in the gallery, the highlights look blown out. I used a monitor calibration tool but I don't suppose that matters here, since it's the same monitor I am using for both! And as a second problem, I notice on literally EVERY other monitor that I view the web gallery on, the highlights are even worse than my monitor. Since the gallery is being viewed in Internet Explorer - could that be the problem? That IE is not "color managed"? This is how the clients see the proofs and I want them to look the best they can. Incidentally, and probably the subject for another question, the prints are slightly darker than all of these, including the original CS2 file. I ran the eye one display 2 and I stopped it after like 12 hours when it still wasn't finished - this isn't right, is it?

Looks like you got a little problem. I don't know how to help you, but maybe you could just try under-exposing the highlights for the versions other people view online. Maybe their monitors just aren't calibrated right.
