Backdrops and ebay Hello. I have looked at several different types of and prices on backdrops on ebay and would like to hear others oppinions on this. Some the sellers claim retail for 2, 3, and even 4 hundred dollars but if you watch the auctions carefull you can win them at 20.00 with shipping of 14 or 15 bucks. I do portraits at my home and now have 6 or seven backdrops none of which cost me over 30.00 including shipping but most are plain and I would like to try some old masters and nice senic backgrounds, and some mottled. What are opther photographers experience with ebay and background material?

Hi Bobbi. Someone posted somewhere that they buy a sheet and crumple it up and random spray paint it with two different colors, when it is opened it comes out mottled. They showed a portrait with this backdrop and it really looked great. Hope this helps. It's quite an inexpensive method. Kathy in NH

Hi Bobbi, check out my gallery, New Blue is a backdrop that I made. I have made several this way, it is easy and inexpensive and they wash really well.

Pat, I'm so glad you commented here. I think you are the one who posted the sheet and the spray paint. You can explain it better. Kathy in NH
