Photography Question

Desiree C. Preckwinkle

New Gallery... please critique my baby photos.

Please take a look at my gallery that I just created. I would like some critique on my photos. I am just starting to really get in to baby photography and am practicing on my 4 month old. Please let me know how my poses and lighting are. Don't be afraid to let me know what I can do to improve as well. Also would like to know some other pose ideas. Thanks so much. Desiree

you have some really nice baby photos and cute poses but many of them are very dark. Try to lighten them a little .

I agree. I think your poses are great. I too would lighten the images. I personally find some of the backgrounds distracting (taking away from the baby). I would stick to the solids.....but that's just my preference, even for my own work. I think you have a great start:-)

Yep, agree with the others, although I find the cropping a little too tight. I am personally a tight cropper, but some of the shots are too tight above the babies heads. You always need more space at the top then at the bottom.

I'm no pro at baby portraits but I took a look and I agree that the backgrounds are distracting. I agree with Natalie about the cropping as well. I have to give you credit - I won't do baby shots!
