Moving Water

Hello all!
I am a new member and invite all to take a look at my work. I welcome all comments. I want to know how to shoot moving water, that has the smooth silky look. I am a beginner, I have a Kodak Z730, and have no idea how to set the manual settings as far as shtter speed, etc.
Thanks!
Mary Anne

Early morning (within couple hours after sunrise), late afternoon (within couple hours before sunset), grey days (not bright grey, but grey grey), gloomy drizzly days, you don't want sun directly shining on the water. Depending on the speed of the water, using a tripod, set the shutter speed and about 1/15 and work down ... if the water is moving slow, you might get down to a couple second exposure.
Practice....:-)
Hope this helps,
Bob
