WOW Denyse! If some dolt thinks that your images "suck" s/he must be blind or at the very least - idiotic! I love your gallery and agree with Natalie - some people need to get a real life and stop using their time to attack that which they do not know and do not understand. Laugh it off.

Thanks Angela! I was trying to figure out if this was a BP epidemic, or just me... I have some former friends who I wouldn't put it past to have done this :( Thankfully with age comes thicker skin!

Denyse- you have some Stunning Portraits, I'm Jealous! That is my goal, Portrait Photography. Just need more time behind the lens and a little schooling about Photoshop or another quality image software program to assist in creating hi impact, stunning, portraits like yours. Any suggestions & guidence would be appreciated, for sure!
Best wishes in all your Photography endevors.

Sounds like something a stupid kid would do while sitting in front of the computer monitor laughing their backside off with a friend or two.

Thanks so much Robert! Some days I'm really frustrated and feel like I have no business even owning a camera!! I still have sooooo much to learn.

I took some classes (here on BP) and they really helped me get some of the technical stuff. Bryan Peterson's "Understanding Exposure" was incredibly useful to me. I used to shoot in full auto- his class helped me move to full manual, or aperture/shutter speed priority as appropriate. It really helps you control your shot when you know what setting you want & why!! And now that I'm digital, I try to learn something from each photo session I do. What worked, what didn't, and what I might try different next time.

As far as photo shop.... I am still struggling to learn it too. I do lots of research on BP for techniques I have seen in others work and want to try, and have found some great tips.

Oh, and I LOVE your "curious child" shot. That one really stands out from the others because of the simple composition- just stairs & leaves and the child, all your attention is on him! Excellent!
