Need tips for bright sun senior portrait w/horse
I am taking (for the first time) Senior Pictures for my friend's daughter (they know I am an amateur). It is next week and it is supposed to be sunny and 79 degrees. I use a Canon EOS 20D. She wants pics with a horse on each side of her (both head to foot and closer). If I am that far away, I am afraid my flash will not fill enough of the shadows on her face (lenses I own: 18-55, 70-300). So should I try to make a reflector (but then will she squint?) or what? I will lower my ISO, but suggestions for shutter and aperture? Shade may not be an option depending on the corral(she wants to be on the front side of a fence and the horses leaning over it) and I may not be able to control where the sun is except by time of day. What would be the ideal position of the sun in this case? I only own the camera, tripod, remote shutter and lenses. I really want this to go well and could use some tips! Also, if there is shade and dappling, do you take the pic in the shade? I should mention that I am a good hand at photoshop if you have tips for post production. Thanks for your time in reading this!
