Photography Question

Sam

website

Hello again,
I'm about to get my own website, but before I do I needed to ask a question. I shoot action shots of young kids playing baseball, softball, etc. My question is will there be a problem to post those photos on my website for parents to look at and purchase, or do I need to get the parents permission. Alot of parents do ask if I have a website, but I know that there's alot of parents that don't like that.
Please help!!

Sam

To publish, whether in print or electronically on a web site, you need a written release from those over 18, or from parents or legal guardians for kids less than 18 years. Now, if you're talking about giving every parent a password to allow them to view pix of their kids and no one elses, that's a different deal. If no one else can see the images, you don't need a release for them. Open to the public, then yep. You need a release.
