Pictures in rainy Ireland I making a last-minute trip to Ireland and would like to have some suggestions about the print/slide film I should take along. I was told it will probably be overcast and very humid with a mix of sun, so I want something that has a wide exposure latitude. However, I don't want anything that will greatly compromise color saturation or sharpness. Again, I would greatly appreciate any suggestions. It's hard to narrow down with all the current choices out there.

Brian, according to my experience, 200 ISO negative film is a very good compromise as for color saturation and sharpness. For slide films, professionals stick to the 100 or 64 ISO also under reduced light conditions, which in other words means using a tripod. If you are using a compact P&S camera, 800 ISO film will be inevitable, taking into account its limitations.

Thanks for the response, Hermann. I bought about 30 rolls in all. I am going to try Fuji Provia 100 and Kodak Ektachrome 200 if the weather permits, and I am bringing along Fuji Sensia 200 for general purpose. Hopefully, I'll get a few keepers. Thanks again.
