  Hi Kylie;

This has become a popular art in the last few years. Celebs such as Demi Moore have graced the covers of magazines like Vanity Fair while pregnant. Run a google search on pregnant celebrities in magazines and you'll get some very good ideas.

Have fun and keep shooting,
Mark H.

  Hi Kylie:
I also have some pregnant images on my website: www.debannphotography.com under 'expectations'. The most recent ones of moi in my fifth month (shot those with a tripod and remote--- it was one of the hardest shoots I have ever attempted!)....not sure if they are the ideas you are looking for....good luck, and let us know when your images are posted....I would love to see them!

  I believe Demi Moore poularized the current fad of exposed-belly pregnancy shots with her Vanity Fair cover. At the time, it was considered shocking by some, and cutting edge by others. Now it has become over done, and just plain boring. While some are tastefully done, many seem designed to try to turn the rotund mother-to-be into a pin-up girl. An expectant Mother has a beauty all her own; there's really no need to show the world her bare belly. Be creative and find an orginal way to reveal the beauty of pregnancy. I personally hope this fad passes soon.

  I'm afraid I'm with John and Sharon on this. The whole bare belly thing seems rather gratuitous to me. And, frankly, unnatural or overtly posed (in the sense that one does not generally see pregnant women parading their uncovered bellies outside photography studios). Worst of all (to me) is that it has become seemingly predictable. It's almost a standard pose for pregnant women, "pull up your shirt, and push down your waistband!"
